Anomaly Piercing Supplies didn't start from scratch—it started from a reckoning.

For years, Rage Body Jewellery was a familiar name in the Canadian piercing landscape, supplying tools and jewelry to studios while selling openly to the public. But as the industry evolved, it demanded stricter material standards, verified suppliers, and a strictly professional supply chain. While I successfully transitioned Rage to a pro-only model, as a minority owner in the holding company, I couldn't convince ownership that full material transparency and verified titanium were the only way forward.

Anomaly is what came next.

It almost carried a different name. The original plan was to rebrand as Rage Piercing Supplies and keep moving. But when the negotiations for the name stalled, I walked away. What came out of that decision was better: a clean break, a new name, and the opportunity to build a brand that actually stands for what this industry deserves.

When my wife bought Rage back in 2017, I had a clear vision for what a supply company should be: verified materials, pro-only access, total transparency, and the documentation to back it up. That vision never took off under the old banner. Anomaly is me finally building it from the ground up—fixing what was broken, cutting out unverified metals, and giving working artists a supply source they can rely on without reservation.

My primary trade isn't piercing—it's stone masonry. I spent thirty years as a mason, the last decade running my own business taking on high-end niche projects. Coming of age in the Gen X punk movement, body modification was always part of the world I lived in. When I started spending my winter off-seasons around the shop, I built real relationships with local piercers, listened to their frustrations, and recognized where the industry was heading regarding material safety and quality control.

When the decision was made to close Rage, I bought out the verified titanium inventory I knew I could stand behind. In October 2026, I reached out directly to TILUM to secure an official dealership, bringing verified TILUM titanium to Canadian studios.

Untangling years of business relationships wasn't easy, but the outcome is clear: Anomaly Piercing Supplies is built on solid ground, with verified materials, proper documentation, and zero shortcuts.
